February 1 – Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
10:30 AM, Worship with Holy Communion in Sanctuary and Livestream
Isaiah 49:1–7 | Matthew 5:13–20
In Matthew’s Gospel, those who are blessed are also entrusted with responsibility: to be salt of the earth and light of the world. Faith, Jesus teaches, is not hidden or private, but meant to be lived out in ways that shape the world around us. Micah’s ancient call to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God resonates with Matthew’s vision of a faith that is visible, embodied, and transformative. Together, these texts invite us to consider how our lives reflect God’s light and participate in the healing of the world.
We will share in Holy Communion at the chancel rail this morning. The Rev. David Cooney will be preaching and leading worship. Ann Thompson will be our guest organist. The Senior Choir will sing.
ERUCC also holds a healing worship service with Holy Communion at 8:30 AM.
