The Senior Choir sings most Sundays at the 10:30 a.m. service. Their four-part anthems range from classical to spiritual to more contemporary pieces. The choir rehearses the first and third Thursday of each month in the Marj Menchey Berkheimer Music Suite, and on Sundays following the 10:30 worship service in the Sanctuary. If interested, please contact Organist/Director Alison E. Shafer at the Church Office, 301-662-2762.
Spirit, our contemporary Christian singing group, leads the 10:30 a.m. worship service once a month, and rehearses at 9:30 a.m. the morning of leading worship. If contemporary music is more your style, then Spirit is a good place for you.
If you are interested in joining either group, please leave a message with the church office.
Children ages 4 through 8th grade are invited to participate in Children’s Music and Movement. The group rehearses each Sunday morning following Sunday School from 10:10–10:25 am. Children will explore a variety of musical styles including the use of rhythm instruments, hand chimes, expression through movement, and vocal choirs.
Our Chancel Handbell Choir, open to elementary and middle school students, rehearses Sunday morning from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm. This choir provides music once a month during the 10:30 am worship service.
