Christ’s call to a transformed way of life often comes through those who suffer, the ones with whom Christ identifies. Listening to this call means seeing differently, recognizing ways we have been blind to our complicity and participation in the brokenness of the world. Listening to this call brings us to turning points where we can no longer ignore questions of oppression and brokenness, sustain the unsustainable, benefit from unjust systems and practices. Listening to Christ’s call puts us on a journey of transformation.
We will recognize outgoing lay leaders and share in communion at the chancel rail this morning. Following worship, we will have our annual congregational meeting to review church finances and activities for 2024 and elect lay leaders.
ERUCC also holds a healing worship service with Holy Communion at 8:30 AM.
