Twenty-First Sunday after Pentecost

I Thessalonians 1:1-10 | Matthew 22:15-22

The Apostle Paul’s words in I Thessalonians 1:1-10 describe the life of Christ’s disciples as “work of faith,” “labor of love,” and “steadfast of hope.” In Matthew 22:15-22 Jesus’ response to the Pharisees and Sadducees indicates that his disciples clearly live with faith, love, and hope in two worlds, the Kingdom of this world as well as the Kingdom of God. However, that is no easy task for us today as we participate in Caesar’s Kingdom.

The Rev. Bob Manthey will be preaching and leading worship. The Senior Choir will be singing.
