As the staff members of Evangelical Reformed Church, we seek to enable all of our members to celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed.

DSC_0253The Rev. Dr. Barbara Kershner Daniel began her ministry with Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ on July 1, 2006 after serving for twenty-three years in Pennsylvania.

Pastor Daniel graduated summa cum laude from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina and holds both Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Lancaster Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania.  She has served on many United Church of Christ boards and committees and is currently serving on the board of the Pension Boards of the United Church of Christ and as a trustee of Catawba College.  She is active in the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek.

The rest of the Daniel family consists of the Rev. Kenneth Daniel, President and CEO of United Church Homes of Ohio, and sons, Mark, working in Pittsburgh and Christopher, a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, teaching English in Thailand.

Family: Husband Mike (22yrs) a systems engineer for Quadramed, A daughter Catie Junior at Catawba College (majoring in in Vocal performance and music education), son Sean a Freshman at Catawba College ( majoring in Environmental Science), a dog Raven and A cat Sparkle.

Free Time: spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, crafts, swimming and the beach

Nancy DollNancy Doll
Born:  Frederick, MD

Current Town:   Frederick, MD
Education:   Undergraduate degree at Frostburg State University; graduate degree at Hood College.
Employment:   Currently principal at Linganore High School, Frederick County Public Schools.  Before that she was an Assistant Principal at Urbana High School and was at Frederick High School for a dozen years . She was principal at Windsor Knolls Middle School and Brunswick High School for four years each.
Defining moments:  Nancy was baptized and confirmed in ERUCC.  She began playing handbells  when she was 11 years old and attended her first handbell conference in 1969 in Natural Bridge, VA.  She has played solos, duets and was a member of the Area III Silver and Gold Anniversary Choirs.  She began directing in 1979 and has taken the choirs to festivals along the East coast and into Canada.  This year marks her 37th year as handbell director.

Favorite Activities:   Traveling and water activities, including kayaking, swimming and paddle boarding.


Sheryl Lynn Murray (Ms Sherry)

Family: 2 children – Christine Thompson & Robert Lennox.  Christine, age 33, resides in Richmond with her husband, Patrick, retired Army, daughter Samantha, age 14 & daughter Elizabeth (Izzy), age 8.  Robert, age 31, currently resides at home.  He has 3 children.  Alexis, age 11, Nathan, age 5 & Rebecca (Becca), age 3.  My parents recently moved into the Lodge at Homewood.  My sister resides in Walkersville.

Education: I received my Bachelor’s degree in Music Business and Percussion Performance from Radford University  (’13), Radford, VA and a Master’s degree in Thanatology (the study of death and dying) from Hood College (’17) Frederick, MD.

Employment: I serve as the Social Media Director for ERUCC. I am responsible for all of the posts, videos and photos that you scroll through on our church Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I try to keep it fun and interactive with the building updates, picture quotes and the Church Street Chat. You may have seen me around Frederick often when I worked as the Assistant Promotions Director for Manning Media (Key 103 FM /106.9 The Eagle FM/MORE FM/ MAX Country FM/ WARK AM). You may have also caught me performing around town. I am recording and performing musician, performing marimba concerts at local nursing homes as well as benefit concerts for organizations such as the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition- Frederick Chapter.

Favorite Activities: I love talking about new social media ideas, music and the music business industry. I live locally in the Frederick area and love to spend time downtown, I love spending time with my friends and church family and my 4 year old Australian Shepherd, who I am freakishly obsessed with.
