ERUCC has provided leadership with the Religious Coalition and other partners in organizing the Frederick School Supply Distribution Project. Backpacks and school supplies are collected and distributed to children and families with limited resources. Many volunteers are needed to help with coordinating this project, as well as school supplies and donations used to buy supplies not donated. Here is the 2016 Report. Next year’s date for the project is August 14, 2017. Contact: Barbara Kershner Daniel, firstname.lastname@example.org
Year-round Shelter TrainingThe Religious Coalition holds training sessions for volunteers, 18 years or older, who are willing to serve at the Emergency Shelter. The shelter is open seven days a week all year round. Each evening contains two shifts: 6 pm-8:00 pm or 8:00 pm-10:00 pm. Duties include greeting and checking in homeless guests, assigning beds, handing out needed supplies, and assisting staff. A staff member will be on duty all hours during which the shelter is open. Here is a link for the shelter.
The Thanksgiving Day worship offering is designated for the Religious Coalition.
