Connecting with other church members is essential to our well being as a person, as a family and as a church. Fellowship, learning, good food, family fun, friendships, shared memories……these are the things that define ERUCC. There are many ways to connect with the congregation. Some activities are weekly, some monthly, some annually, some during the school year and some during the summer. There are activities for every age group and every interest. Try a few!
Coffee Hour: Held Sundays in the Community Room after the 10:30 service. Light refreshments and conversation.
Monday Night Mess Hall: Held Mondays during the school year in the social room for choir rehearsals. Dinner is served and the adults help children with their homework. Monday Mess Hall is held in the Community Room.
Chimes Group: A social group for older adults that meets once a month in the social room. Guests are invited to speak about their specialities and afterwards members socialize while eating.
BOOK GROUP: The book group meets once a month at various members’ homes. Depending on the time of year and the book read, this group usually includes 8-14 people.
ERUCC Committees: Six standing committees are part of the ERUCC Consistory, which is the elected representatives of the congregation. The committees are: Christian Education, Finance and Budget, Mission and Social Action, Property, Stewardship, and Worship.
ERUCC Teams: Certain other ongoing functions in the life of the Church, such as hospitality, fellowship, evangelism and lay caregiving, will be carried out by Teams approved by Consistory. Currently there are two teams: the Evangelism Team and the Hospitality Team.
Annual Activities: Education and fellowship for all ages are the focus of the annual activities. From Square Dancing, to the men’s and women’s retreats, from Vacation Bible School to Family Camping, from Fellowship Travel to the children’s musical, there is something for everyone. There is an activity for you that will nourish your soul, enrich your life, and make you smile.
